Dr. Grissino-Mayer receives Certificate of Merit from Tennessee Historical Commission

Dr. Henri Grissino-Mayer will receive a Certificate of Merit from the Tennessee Historical Commission (THC).  His award is in the category of Historic Preservation, and recognizes recent accomplishments in dendrochronological dating, including studies at the Wynnewood and Sabine Hill State Historic Sites, and at Belle Meade Plantation.

Begun in 1975, the THC Certificate of Merit Awards recognize individuals, publications, projects, and programs that make significant contributions to the study of history and/or historic preservation efforts in our state.  The award ceremony (with reception) will take place on Wednesday, May 27,20 15 at 3 PM Central in the Commission’s Offices in Nashville.
