ABOUT

I hold a BS in Geographic Science and a minor in history from James Madison University (2016) and an MA in Geography from the University of Wyoming (2018). I am in the last year of my doctorate at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and consider myself a human cultural geographer with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary approaches and collaboration. My PhD specialty fields are digital/physical landscapes and mixed/creative methods and my research interests include augmented reality landscapes, citizen science and mapping, accessibility of campus environments, playful geography, and “transgressive” landscapes.

I am an advocate for the TRiO Math and Science Center (https://msc.utk.edu/) and the Young-Williams Animal Center (https://www.young-williams.org/). If either of these organizations interest you, please reach out to me!
