I’m a well-rounded geographer with research specialties in critical parks geographies and place naming studies. I work with Dr. Derek Alderman and I am passionate about teaching geography and providing outdoor education to students. In my free time, I love to travel to parks and protected areas with friends and family.

I’m originally from Machesney Park, Illinois, and I proudly serve as the Camp Director of Canyon Camp, a Scouting America summer camp in Northwest Illinois.
