Bridgette Fritz
Lead GIS Analyst WSP
I earned my master’s degree from the department in 2020. During my tenure in the department, I participated in research under the guidance of Dr. Tran and Dr. Horn. My research had a specific focus on the identification and comprehensive characterization of sinkholes, with a unique emphasis on their potential role as repositories of long-term flood history records. Currently, I am proud to hold the position of Lead GIS Analyst at WSP’s Knoxville office. In this role, I have had the privilege of collaborating with talented individuals with a wide variety of skill-sets and backgrounds, including fellow UT geography alumni, Luke Lawley, and student Will Whitehead. Together, we have harnessed our expertise in various software programs such as ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, AutoCAD, and Civil3D to deliver geospatial products for federal agencies, local governments, and private stakeholders. When I am away from work, you can find me enjoying live music, making updates to my 1920’s bungalow, tending to my plant collection, and spending time with my two furry companions, Juniper and Pigpen!
