I’m a PhD student working with Sally Horn. I am generally interested in studying environmental change through the Quaternary period, as indicated by proxy data preserved in soils and sediments. Current projects I am working on include using soil charcoal to understand fire and vegetation history in eastern U.S. national forests and examining late-Cretaceous charcoal recovered from the Arlington Archosaur Site in Texas. However, I am interested in many aspects of paleoecology and am excited to explore new questions in different ecosystem types and portions of Earth’s history.
