Caleb Gore

PhD Student | Human Geography

My work focuses mainly on political economy, political ecology, and mass incarceration in the context of Central Appalachia with an emphasis on the economic and geographic impacts of the coal industry. More broadly, I am interested in understanding how capitalism organizes not only economic production, but also knowledge and ideological production.

Research Interests: political economy, political ecology, environmental justice, racial capitalism, chemical production, pollution, Appalachian studies.
