My name is Matthew Ownby, and I am a graduate student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, studying human geography. My research interests include, but are not limited to, the effects of climate change on Indigenous communities, cultural preservation, and cultural ecology.

I am advised by Solange Muñoz, Associate Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies. I currently serve as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Geography & Sustainability.
