Stephanie Insalaco

PhD Student | Sustainabilitiy and GIST

I am a second-year Ph.D. student in the department of geography, with a research focus on environmental conservation and GIS. For my dissertation, I will be focusing on seagrass and fisheries conservation in Mosquito Lagoon, Florida. Through classifications, survey data, and remote sensing I hope to fully understand the ecosystem decline that has happened recently in the lagoon. I am also the instructor of GEOG111, Our Digital Earth. I have a passion for teaching and love that I get to give an introduction to GIS to students.
