Dr. Westenhoff (or Dr. W), a recent graduate at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, is currently a full-time academic lecturer specializing in GIS&T and human geography topics with a passion for innovative cartography. Recent publications include a featured article for Material Culture regarding augmented reality and perception of free speech in space. When outside the classroom, Dr. W is at the Knox County animal shelter or working with the TRiO Math and Science Upward Bound program, supporting low-SES students in math, science, and engineering interests.
